If one has a brand new recliner chair delivered in the middle of the day, it will have acquired a layer of cat hair before one's behind first touches it.
(Psst. You're supposed to insert your behind in the chair immediately upon delivery. You'll still have cat hair when you get home, but at least you'll have been first. :-) )
Problem is, I wasn't home when the chair was delivered. (The downstairs tenant let them in to deliver it.) So given that it was a Wednesday and I had biostatistics class after work, the cat had about 8 hours to work on it before I even saw the chair.
