Taking a look at all the things I'll need to get done on my lunch hour, I'm going to take the lazy path of making today's blog a storify of my discussion of a Rocket Talk podcast discussing the discussions of the recently released The Traitor Baru Cormorant by Seth Dickinson. The discussion may not entirely make sense without following the entire conversation, much of which has occurred on Twitter. If you want to understand more of the background, I highly recommend following the links on the podcast notes to the reviews being discussed there and then listening to the podcast. I strongly advise against having knee=jerk reactions to the thought of People Being Wrong on the Internet and jumping into the discussion without that background.
