Alpennia Writing Retreat: Day 6
Dec. 24th, 2015 08:55 pmSix days in a row of this? I'm still kind of boggling. I'll be boggling even more when I've finished nine straight days of writing retreat. But hey, at least that will help me remember to go back to work the next day!
Today's chapter was quite exciting and I can't really tell you anything about it because *spoiler* *spoiler* *spoiler*. Let's just say that several characters' lives are going in different directions at the end of it.
Tomorrow's chapter is going to involve one of those extended descriptions of what it's like to observe the workings of a mystery from the inside, for one who has the vision. It's funny that multiple people have told me how vivid and realistic my descriptions of mystic visions are, given that they're about the most absolutely made-up thing in the series. I guess I just have a good imagination.
Not sure whether I'll follow my usual pattern of going off to a coffee shop for my morning writing session. I imagine Starbucks will still be open on Christmas day, though I think some of the other places in my rotation won't be.
Sat. Dec 19: Chapter 23 (Barbara) and 24 (Luzie) (clean-up only)
Sun. Dec 20: Chapter 25 (Jeanne) 827 words, needs more outline
Mon. Dec 21: Chapter 26 (Serafina) needs more outlining, particularly adding in political stuff
Tue. Dec 22: Chapter 27 (Margerit) has outline but needs to be updated for other changes
Wed. Dec 23: Chapter 28 (Luzie) solidly outlined
Thu. Dec 24: Chapter 29 (Barbara) outline is full but a bit of a mess, needs updating
Fri. Dec 25: Chapter 30 (Serafina) solidly outlinedbut needs updating
Sat. Dec 26: Chapter 31 (Margerit) solidly outlinedbut needs updating
Sun. Dec 27: Chapter 32 (Luzie) solidly outlinedbut needs updating -- and done!
