Holy crap. I'm really going to do this.

I had a bad moment about two paragraphs from the end of chapter 31 when I though I was going to need to add another chapter at the end. Currently the book ends up with Luzie's point of view, and I had a sudden panic that I wasn't going to be able to close up Serafina's emotional arc properly unless I did it through her POV. But I think I have it untangled again. I am probably going to add a prelude & coda bookending the close-3rd-person chapters that sets up and closes some…let's say some meteorological aspects. I may later be convinced to take it out again. I'll have to see how it all flows.

And now I've decided to reward myself by going back for a second viewing of the new Star Wars.

Sat. Dec 19: Chapter 23 (Barbara) and 24 (Luzie) (clean-up only)
Sun. Dec 20: Chapter 25 (Jeanne) 827 words, needs more outline
Mon. Dec 21: Chapter 26 (Serafina) needs more outlining, particularly adding in political stuff
Tue. Dec 22: Chapter 27 (Margerit) has outline but needs to be updated for other changes
Wed. Dec 23: Chapter 28 (Luzie) solidly outlined
Thu. Dec 24: Chapter 29 (Barbara) outline is full but a bit of a mess, needs updating
Fri. Dec 25: Chapter 30 (Serafina) solidly outlined but needs updating
Sat. Dec 26: Chapter 31 (Margerit) solidly outlined but needs updating
Sun. Dec 27: Chapter 32 (Luzie) solidly outlined but needs updating -- and done!

It is really cool following along on your progress from home. It does reinforce my belief that I am a reader, not a writer, but I am loving the inside view of what it is like to be a writer, and it gives a much better understanding of why it takes so long for the next book in a good series to come out.

Well, at least it's *one* way to be a writer. I've had enough different writing processes in my own career that I'd never imagine we all work similarly. But yes, there's a lot of engine under the hood!
