Alpennia Blog: Ok, here's something

I do have something related to writing to say today, and I almost forgot.

It's my birthday on Thursday, and the best birthday present I can think of is for people to read my stories, and say nice things about them in public spaces (especially public spaces that haven't already been saturated by my core fandom saying nice things about my books). It would be nice to get a little more love going for my musketeer story. I love fan art -- only gotten two pieces so far that I know of. Convince some reviewer that they want to ask for an advance review copy of Mother of Souls. There are so many things that you can do for Alpennia that I simply can't, just because I'm the author.

Thank you! (Always and ever.) I hate posting stuff like this because I always feel that the people who are there for me every day will feel like I'm complaining. The hardest thing I do as an author is to beg people to like my stories.

I know exactly how you feel. I have to fight myself to post positive things about my stories, then I have to fight myself not to delete that post or twee.
