Made it safely to Maine -- more details later. Am discovering new levels of frustration trying to get the laptop connected via my parents' wireless network. (This is being posted elsehow.) Whatever happened to simple plug-and-play networks?
I figure that with two computer programmers in residence here, I should be able to get something done. On the other hand, I'm unlikely to eat up my monthly dialup minutes just picking up e-mail once a day, and web stuff I can do on other computers. Besides which ... I'm supposed to be on vacation, right?
