Invisible, but not inaudible! Last night (the first one with Gray Cat locked in the bedroom with me) was quite the yow-fest. Plus assorted noises that I tried to decipher while half-asleep. I'm fairly well convinced that one particular *thunk* *scrape* noise was the cat experimenting with whether this time there would be a window ledge it could jump to (as opposed to the previous times it tried when there was no ledge). On at least three occasions she went so far as to jump up onto the bed with me, only to vacate when she discovered THERE WAS A MONSTER ON THE BED!!!
Now there's a story premise: what does the monster hiding under the bed *really* think of the entity living above it?
