I'm managing to get everything done that needs to be done before my week of vacation starts -- not like my usual last-minute triage. Today was shopping for cat food, litter, etc. so nothing would run out while the downstairs neighbor is taking care of her. Then there was installing a second lock on the back door. I haven't been entirely happy with relying entirely on the one the locksmith installed after the burglary, so I got to spend an hour or so figuring out the right combination of drill bits and screws to attach the thing. (Needless to say, neither the screws included in the package nor the drill bit recommended by the instructions actually worked.)

I presume that the appraiser showed up this morning and saw everything necessary. The Elder Brother is off somewhere and I haven't been able to confirm this yet.

Tomorrow evening is packing time, then all should be set.
