Just a song before I go ...

The Youngest Brother has arrived and the Elder Brother is off running errands somewhere. When all are here, we'll head for the airport and the snowitude of Maine. I almost managed to turn in all the investigations that are due up to one week after I get back from vacation. One got an extension, one is still under consideration (but may get approved while I'm gone), and one will be hurridly finished when I get back. Still, not bad for an accomplishment. My department and our QA counterparts went off to Chevy's for happy hour on the boss's dime. I offer my opinion that cranberry margaritas are just downright weird, but appropriate for the season.

Date: 2005-12-17 02:28 pm (UTC)Many years ago, our whole SCA group would go out in costume carolling. We mixed some familiar modern favorites in with some genuine medieval church music and we and our listeners had a blast. Before we started, however, we'd hit a liquor store and all get smallish bottles of some kind of liquer (to ward of the cold, of course, purely medicinal, lol). And one year there was cranberry liquer and it was very nice indeed. It almost numbed up one's brain enough to ignore Rognvaldr in his deep bass singing "Do not mess with possums" instead of "Dona nobis pacem".
